When to use
Use GPT Image 2.5 Sunburst when detail and fidelity matter more than speed — about 20 seconds per image in our tests. Call it with the OpenAI SDK's images.generate after swapping the base URL; data[0].b64_json holds the image.
When to use something else
For faster everyday generation at the same price, try GPT Image 2.5 Flare. Sizes other than 1024x1024 and high quality are not offered yet, and prompts are limited to 1,000 characters.
